Agricultural Practices of Southern Vancouver Island
This survey is part of a PhD research project led by Matthew Kyriakides of the University of Victoria's Ecogastronomy Research Group under the supervision of Dr. John Volpe, School of Environmental Studies (jpv@uvic.ca). This research examines a diversity of agricultural practices, and your input is appreciated to understand their regional context and validity.
While all responses will be anonymous and confidential, the smaller geographic location of the study could result in an indirect identification of some of the farmers and farms who participate in this project. Portions of your responses may be quoted in the final document and peer-reviewed articles. Please consider this when including any sensitive or identifying information. Submitting this survey will imply consent on your part. The results will be integrated into the final research dissertation and shared with the community. The final dissertation will be stored on the internet via UVicSpace. Your responses may also inform the creation of an article which could be geared towards publication in a newspaper or magazine and quotations may be used from what you share. Participants will be invited to an information session at the completion of the project to discuss the findings and implications of this research.
