Happy fall equinox! Summer has quickly come and gone and we are now into winter squash harvesting and cover crop seeding. It has been another very fruitful and busy season at multiple community events, on-site tours, and produce grown by Sandown farmers and distributed across markets, food banks, CSA programs, and more. We had a wonderful time with youth on the UVic Sustainability Project x Uvic Campus Garden x Community Action Bus Farm Crawl last month. It was inspiring to see so many young people interested in learning about sustainable farming practices and regenerative agriculture. Together, we learned about the principles of regenerative agriculture, toured the Sandown Learning Farm, and planted broccoli together. Thank you for including us on the Farm Crawl!
