Support your local farmers! The end of the season is nearing, and it's not too late to show your support for all the hard-working regenerative farmers. There is one North Saanich Farm Market left - mark your calendars for this Saturday, the 7th of October! We are extremely proud of all of the dedicated Sandown farmers who produce delicious, nutrient-dense vegetables, create pollinator habitat, conduct research, and more, for the community.

One great way to show your support is to stock up on vegetables and preserve them by canning, fermenting, and pickling. Click the link below to watch a video on preserving and fermenting from Solara of Hatchet & Seed.
Natural Day for Truth & Reconciliation was yesterday, Saturday, September 30th. Get involved in decolonizing by:
learning about Indigenous territories, languages, lands, and ways of life, advocating for truth, participating in invasive species pulls with PEPÁḴEṈ HÁUTW̱ and W̱S͸ḴEM Ivy Project , supporting Indigenous makers, and giving to organizations like the Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS) and Orange Shirt Society.
We are proud to have been selected as a finalist in the Local Food category for the 2023 Ecostar Awards.
Congratulations to all of the finalists in each category!
Community call-out: Drop off your spray-free leaves at Sandown at 1810 Glamorgan Rd. We will happily use them to mulch the gardens and farms. Email info@sandowncentre.com to arrange, or just stop by and leave them inside or at the front of the main gate!
