As the growing season takes off, there are plenty of opportunities to learn, connect, and get your hands dirty at the Sandown Centre for Regenerative Agriculture. Whether you're interested in growing food, learning new skills, supporting local agriculture, or simply spending time outdoors in community, we invite you to join us for one or more of our upcoming events!
Growing and Processing Medicinal Herbs Workshop
Saturday, June 27 | 1:00–3:00 PM

Interested in growing your own herbal medicine? Join Sandown Farmer Stacey MacTaggart of Heartbridge Farm this Saturday for an introduction to cultivating, harvesting, and processing medicinal herbs. Participants will learn about selecting appropriate varieties, growing techniques, harvesting practices, and simple methods for drying and preserving herbs for future use.
Participants will take home a selection of freshly harvested herbs from the garden and sip on herbal tea!

Potato Harvest Work party

Come dig potatoes with us!
There's nothing quite like pulling fresh potatoes from the soil—and we need your help!
Help harvest this year's crop, learn about local food production, and take home a share of the harvest. No experience is necessary—just bring sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, and a willingness to get your hands dirty. Kids welcome!

Weekly Volunteer Days
Tuesday through Friday | 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
Looking for a meaningful way to connect with your community and local food production? Join us for our weekly volunteer days at Sandown. Volunteers help with a variety of seasonal farm tasks, including planting, weeding, harvesting, and general farm maintenance.
Come for the full four hours or drop in for part of the session—every helping hand makes a difference. No experience is necessary, and all are welcome.

Weekly Farmers Market
Every Wednesday | 3:30–5:30 PM
Visit the Sandown Co-op Style Farmers Market each Wednesday afternoon to purchase fresh produce grown on site by our hardworking farmers! Pick up some produce and see where its grown :)
