Managing weeds in a no/low-till system
Sunday, October 6, 1pm - 3pm

Shellie MacDonald will facilitate a two-hour hands-on workshop at Sandown Centre identifying and explaining different techniques for dealing with weeds in a no/low till context.

Biologically Active Soil Workshop
Tuesday, June 25, 4pm - 6pm and
Sunday, June 30, 10am - 1pm 

E. Brooke Hayes, PhD candidate and director of the EcoSoil lab at the University of Victoria will lead an in-lab and on-farm workshop on biologically active soil.

The Regenerative Gardener Course

This four-part, hands-on course takes place in our on-site teaching garden. Whether you are just starting out, or are a seasoned gardener wanting to learn regenerative land care skills, this course has something for everyone.

Annual Spring Plant Sale!

Saturday May 18th 10:00am - 1:00pm

Join us on-site for our Annual Spring Plant Sale. Shop direct from the farmers, take a tour of the land, and get ready for an abundant gardening season! 

​

The farmers will have a diverse selection of plant starts, including veggies, fruits, culinary herbs, flowers and medicinal plants.

Monthly Invasive Species Pulls

Join us on the first Sunday of the month, to help remove invasive English ivy from the forest.

Site Tours

Interested in visiting the Sandown Centre? We offer 1-2 hour guided tours! We will take your group through the 83-acre site, including the farming area, meadow, forest, and a visit to the historic Garry oak.
